Hawaiian Kiteboards is owned and operated by Reinhard Elischka. Born in Austria, Reinhard toured the world competing in windsurf speed sailing, and held numerous national and state titles . Twenty years ago, he landed in Maui to compete, and decided to call it home. Because of Reinhard's in-depth knowledge of windsurfing, he was recruited on the Research & Development teams of Gaastra, Naish, Ezzy, and Jimmy Lewis.

In 1999, Reinhard hit his plateau in windsurfing and sought out the thrills of the new and exciting water sport in Maui: kitesurfing. As a pioneer of the sport on Maui, he was featured in one of the first kiteboarding videos, "Boost", now a classic. During the evolution of kitesurfing, Reinhard has flown virtually every type of kite and ridden almost every kind of board.

Today, Reinhard is one of Maui's top kitesurfing instructors and also shapes a unique line of boards. No matter what level you are at, whether beginner or intermediate, Reinhard's expertise and coaching will help you enjoy the awesome sport of kitesurfing.

Lessons are taught at Kanaha Campground Beach, also known as Old Man's Beach and Canoe Beach.

Appointments are from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Rate: $80/hour. Minimum time: 30 minutes=$45. All gear is provided.
Have your own gear? Rate is $50/hour. Free upwind shuttle service back to Campground!

IKO certified instructor ( Level 2) , insured and permitted.

Kites : 2010 Slingshot RPM, 2009 Best Waroo and 2009 Best Guroo in all sizes

Boards : Jimmy Lewis and Hawaiian Kiteboards in various sizes
